Amplify
Social Studies
I was very excited to accept the responsibility of designing, managing and maintaining the digital archives for our Social Studies team using a combination of Google Slides and Miro.
The Miro board, shown in the video below, organizes high quality miniature versions of all book spreads in the curriculum. They are laid out horizontally by Grade and vertically by Unit. Visible to all Amplify employees, this interactive board serves as a one-stop resource for viewing a spread in any book instantly.
Additionally, our team created individual decks containing all of the original artwork created specifically for this program, broken down by category: illustration, collage, maps and charts. The index at the beginning of the deck links to the corresponding artwork folder of native and JPG files.
Digital Artwork Libraries
Below are thumbnail screenshots of five consecutive slides in each artwork catalog deck. The general layout template in chronological order is as follows:
• Introduction
• Index with links to corresponding artwork folders
• Grade / Unit opener
• Individual slides, each containing:
- Lesson number
- Art prompt / description
- Reference images (if any)
- Mini screenshot of the artwork placement within the student book
