to Pandemic Challenges
As you can possibly imagine, the COVID-19 pandemic had a devastating impact on the restaurant industry. Amidst the empty city streets, constant stress and widespread fear, dining restrictions and government-mandated health & safety measures became a critical part of daily business. As the Creative Director and Lead Designer for Bareburger during this challenging time, I led several initiatives to support the business and help it succeed through design and marketing. The visual responses below explore and document several crucial operational adjustments that enabled our units to succeed while helping others and supporting the community throughout 2020 and beyond.
1. Feeding the Frontlines
We launched a GoFundMe page at the start of the pandemic and raised enough money through email marketing and social media promotion to serve over 14,000 meals to the heroes working on the frontlines and to families in need in New York City. 2. Launching Contactless Tech
I designed location-specific QR code table plaques that direct to our Lunchbox online platform, enabling guests to order a meal directly + seamlessly from their mobile device.

3. Embracing Delivery & Virtual Concepts
Bareburger embraced the 2020 delivery service boom by opening ghost kitchens and activating a virtual chicken-only concept called The Naked Bird. I developed a style guide, designed a landing page, created email newsletters & more to support the brand and increase sales.
